Knotts(2-0) came through with a virtuoso performance against the Dominican hitters. He surrendered only 2 hits and no walks in 9 innings improving his ERA from 2.63 to 1.59. Dart banged out 11 on the afternoon. Mike Mussina(1-2) was hit with the loss. Knotts was obviously very pleased with his performance in the aftermath of the game, 'It was just one of those games where everything worked. My arm felt great, heck, I could have pitched another two or three innings. I only hope that I can do it again next time out!'
